Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mobility, pain, and functional limitations using evidence-based measures
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that restore function and independence
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise with clinical skill and compassion
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and outcomes accurately and timely in the EMR
• Educate patients and families to support safe home programs and long-term recovery
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Valid California Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfortable working in a travel/contract environment and adaptable to site needs
• Experience in outpatient, acute, or rehab settings preferred
• Strong patient-centered communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred, or Bachelor/Master in Physical Therapy with clinical licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques
• Gait training, balance retraining, and fall prevention strategies
• Use of functional outcome measures and clinical documentation best practices
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Excellent patient education and motivational skills
• Caseload management and time prioritization
