Location: Crescent City, CA

End Date: 02-01-2026
Shift Type: Thursday-Monday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Day/Evening shift). Orientation: 2 weeks, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to patients in the assigned medical area
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to orders
- Assess patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
- Document patient care activities clearly and thoroughly
- Collaborate with nurses and facility staff to support continuity of care
- Participate in the two-week orientation to learn facility-specific policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current, active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Basic clinical skills in medication administration, assessment, and documentation
- Comfort working the assigned schedule (Thursday–Monday, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM)
- Ability to complete facility-required orientation (2 weeks, Mon–Fri mornings)
- Prior correctional healthcare or similar experience is a plus but not required
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Vocational Nursing program (LVN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and observation skills
- Medication administration and basic IV/clinical skills appropriate for LVN scope
- Clear clinical documentation and communication
- Infection control and safety practices
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a structured facility environment
