Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients rapidly to prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide direct nursing care for trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac-monitoring patients
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions including cardiac monitoring and advanced life support
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient flow
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient education clearly and timely
• Support safe procedural sedation when credentialed and follow related protocols
• Advocate for patients and families while maintaining a calm, team-focused approach

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii required by assignment start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Procedural Sedation, TMCC, and EMPC certifications preferred but not required
• Experience in emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and behavioral health strongly desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover ER environment and collaborate well with team members

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
• Proficiency with cardiac monitors and telemetry
• Comfort managing trauma patients and behavior health holds
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients' families
• Ability to prioritize multiple high-acuity patients and tasks
• Familiarity with emergency documentation and protocols
