Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders and facility policy
• Perform timely patient assessments and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Document care clearly and thoroughly in the resident record
• Support resident mobility, safety, and comfort while promoting dignity
• Collaborate with CNAs, therapists, and physicians to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
• Experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred (travel LPN experience a plus)
• Comfortable and reliable working overnight shifts (5:00 PM - 5:30 AM)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Skilled at supporting activities of daily living and resident comfort
• Clear verbal and written communication with care teams and families
• Time management and prioritization in busy clinical settings
• Comfort using electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation
