Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (state certification required or eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain prior to start
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/ immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with patient hygiene, toileting and feeding assistance
• Familiarity with taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection prevention and standard precautions
• Basic charting and documentation skills; comfort learning electronic health records
• Good observation skills and ability to escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
