Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (primary), 36 hours/week; schedule may rotate as staffing requires and may include nights and on-call coverage
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care to women in labor, during delivery, postpartum, and to newborns
- Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous fetal/labor monitoring
- Prepare delivery rooms and assist with C-sections and inductions as needed
- Administer IV medications and follow strict infection control procedures
- Document nursing care clearly and accurately to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care with patience and empathy
- Coordinate transfers and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Remain calm and effective in high-stress situations and support colleagues during busy periods
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN licensure required
- Current CPR certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- ACLS certification required within one year of employment
- Preferred: 4 years of experience in obstetrics care
- Comfortable with IV medication administration, fetal monitoring, and sterile technique
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide emotional support to patients and families
Education
- RN graduate with current Colorado licensure

- Labor & delivery and postpartum nursing fundamentals
- Neonatal resuscitation and newborn care
- Fetal/labor monitoring and interpretation
- C-section assistance and induction management
- IV medication administration and documentation
- Infection control and sterile technique
- Patient assessment, education, and emotional support
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations and coordinate transfers
