Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care to women in labor, during delivery, postpartum, and to newborns
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous fetal/labor monitoring
• Prepare delivery rooms and assist with C-sections and inductions as needed
• Administer IV medications and follow strict infection control procedures
• Document nursing care clearly and accurately to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care with patience and empathy
• Coordinate transfers and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Remain calm and effective in high-stress situations and support colleagues during busy periods

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN licensure required
• Current CPR certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• ACLS certification required within one year of employment
• Preferred: 4 years of experience in obstetrics care
• Comfortable with IV medication administration, fetal monitoring, and sterile technique
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide emotional support to patients and families

Education

• RN graduate with current Colorado licensure
