Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub confidently for neuro, orthopedics, and total joint procedures, maintaining high proficiency in technique
• Prepare the operating room and specialized instruments and supplies for a variety of surgical cases
• Maintain strict aseptic and sterile technique to ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Assist with circulating duties as needed to support the surgical team and smooth case flow
• Provide a calm, focused environment in the OR and communicate clearly with surgeons and perioperative staff
• Use and care for specialized surgical equipment, ensuring readiness and proper handling

Qualifications

• NBSTSA certification required
• Active New Hampshire Medical Technician Registration required
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum of 2 years current CST experience, with documented scrubbing experience in general, ortho, neuro, and endoscopy
• High proficiency specifically in neuro, orthopedics, and total joint cases is non-negotiable
• Traveler must have reliable personal vehicle for the assignment
• Perm address must be included in your profile; include any/all RTO and scheduling requests at submission
• At least 1 supervisory signed reference from the past two years required (2 preferred); current skills checklist/CST documentation required

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) required
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert scrubbing technique for Neuro, Ortho, and Total Joints
• Aseptic and sterile field maintenance
• Operating room preparation and setup
• Surgical instrument handling and care
• Circulating duties and intraoperative support
• Experience with endoscopy cases
• Ability to work effectively in a small department with limited RTO
