Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents — assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
• Support a safe, clean and comfortable environment through proper infection control and bedside care
• Assist with feeding, transfers and range-of-motion exercises as directed
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents and families to ensure person-centered care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement care plans and improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Maine or eligible for Maine certification)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable working a hands-on clinical role with a focus on resident dignity and safety
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care skills and supporting activities of daily living
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection prevention, safe resident handling, and basic safety protocols
• Effective verbal communication with residents, families and the care team
• Time management, prioritization, and ability to work reliably in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with electronic charting is a plus
