Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents
• Communicate clearly with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team to support person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of Maine
• Demonstrated compassion and strong communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Comfortable with physical aspects of care such as lifting and transfers
• Previous long-term care or facility experience is a plus but new grads are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Teamwork and ability to take direction from licensed nursing staff
