Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques and equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and communications
• Assist in creating a comfortable, respectful environment that promotes dignity
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or able to obtain quickly
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate direct patient care
• Comfortable with lifting and assisting patients as needed
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Pass required background checks and health screenings per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational patient care skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Infection prevention and standard precautions knowledge
• Good interpersonal skills and a positive, patient-centered attitude
