Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Deliver personable, respectful support that preserves resident dignity and independence
• Document care accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Support mobility, transfers and safe ambulation while using proper body mechanics
• Participate in team huddles and communicate effectively with nurses, therapists and families
• Maintain cleanliness, infection control and a safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Valid state license or eligibility to obtain necessary credentials for practice
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care with empathy and professionalism
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding: background check, immunizations and drug screen as required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ADLs, patient transfers and safe resident handling
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and basic clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
