Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a busy emergency setting
• Provide high-quality nursing care for trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and acute medical cases
• Administer advanced life support interventions following ACLS and PALS protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and specialists to create and execute patient care plans
• Document patient care, changes in condition, and handoffs clearly and promptly
• Support family members with clear communication and compassionate care during critical moments
• Participate in emergency drills and quality improvement initiatives to keep the department sharp

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) required
• ACLS required
• TNCC required
• PALS required
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing, including trauma and cardiac care
• Comfort caring for pediatric emergency patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and triage skills in high-acuity situations
• Proficiency with emergency interventions and monitors
• Excellent verbal and written communication for rapid handoffs
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Teamwork mindset and the ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
