Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and collect accurate vital signs, height, weight, and patient histories
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and prepare/label specimens for lab submission
- Assist providers with OBGYN procedures including PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, and NST
- Administer immunizations and injections as directed and document appropriately
- Chart thoroughly in the EMR (Epic/CS-Link) and reconcile medication histories
- Explain clinic policies and procedures to patients with empathy and clarity
- Perform telephone triage and follow-up calls to support continuity of care
- Support infection prevention, QA activities, and equipment reprocessing to maintain a safe clinic
Qualifications
- HSD/GED required
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI
- BLS (AHA or ARC) required
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions/declinations)
- Minimum 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office (1 year OBGYN experience required; 2+ years in outpatient OBGYN preferred)
- Proficiency with venipuncture/blood draws and specimen handling
- Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
- Comfort assisting with OB/GYN procedures listed and working with adult outpatient populations
- Willingness to float between nearby clinic locations as needed
Education
- HSD/GED
- Medical Assistant Certificate or Diploma (DAPIP-accredited) OR national MA certification (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, MMCI)
Knowledge & Skills
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection best practices
- EMR charting proficiency (Epic and CS-Link experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to women's health
- Infection prevention standards and QA processes
- Excellent patient communication and telephone triage skills
- Ability to set up and assist with OBGYN exam/procedure rooms
- Familiarity with lab submission workflows (e.g., Quest Diagnostics) is a plus
