Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled rehabilitative care under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document patient progress accurately
• Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment area and adhere to facility policies and best practices

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey, or eligible to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in outpatient or contract rehab settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (or equivalent completion of an accredited PTA program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on therapeutic techniques and patient mobility training
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities, assistive devices, and adaptive equipment
• Clear documentation and charting skills
• Good clinical judgment and ability to prioritize caseloads
• Team collaboration and patient/family education
