Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional mobility and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve strength, balance, and independence
• Perform gait training and transfers using safe, evidence-based techniques
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Document progress clearly and timely in the patient chart and electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on home programs and strategies to maintain gains
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture that emphasizes dignity and measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid state license as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant (must be active prior to start)
• Graduate of an accredited PT or PTA program
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working in an inpatient/rehab setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Available for a 13-week contract and flexible to meet facility scheduling needs

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Appropriate state licensure for PT or PTA required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical skills in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities
• Gait training, balance training, and assistive device instruction
• Skilled in assessment of ADLs and functional mobility
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Ability to prioritize caseloads, manage time, and teach patient-centered programs
• Teamwork mindset and effective communication with patients, families, and staff
