Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient status, using clinical judgment to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care and changes clearly in the health record
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Ensure patient safety and comfort while promoting a healing environment
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care across settings

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in New Mexico (or RN license if applying as an RN)
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and providing compassionate care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN program (or RN program for RN applicants)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic nursing assessments and documentation
• Medication administration and IV basics (as applicable)
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills
