Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead clinical teams with clarity and compassion to ensure high-quality resident care
- Develop and enforce nursing policies, procedures and regulatory compliance standards
- Coach, mentor and evaluate nursing staff to build a strong, accountable team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to coordinate care plans and improve outcomes
- Oversee staffing, scheduling and resource allocation to maintain safe staffing levels
- Monitor clinical metrics, implement improvement plans and report results to leadership
- Serve as a visible clinical presence on the unit to support staff and address concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligible for state licensure
- Proven leadership experience as a Director of Nursing or similar supervisory role
- Minimum of several years of progressive long term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CMS, state regulations and accrediting body requirements
- Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred where applicable
- Clear background check, up to date immunizations and willingness to complete facility onboarding
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) required; BSN preferred
- Additional leadership or management training is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical judgment and strong hands-on nursing leadership
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution and team-building skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
- Quality improvement, infection control and regulatory compliance expertise
- Ability to analyze data, set priorities and drive measurable improvements
