Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive sonographic exams across modalities including abdominal, obstetric (1st–3rd trimester), gynecologic, vascular, neonatal/pediatric and superficial structures
• Execute image-guided procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainages and intraoperative ultrasound with precision and safety
• Assess fetal well-being using biophysical profiles, gestational age measurements and placental evaluation
• Conduct vascular studies including carotid duplex, segmental pressures and upper/lower extremity arterial and venous duplex exams
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Canon i700) and accurately document studies in Meditech EMR and archive to Fuji Synapse PACS
• Provide clear patient communication, ensure patient comfort and practice infection control and safety standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, obstetric teams and multidisciplinary care providers to deliver timely, actionable imaging
• Respond to on-call duties as assigned and float to support other units when needed

Qualifications

• ARDMS (AB) — required
• ARDMS (OB) — required
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) — required
• Active BLS (AHA certified) — required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting
• Demonstrated competency in neonatal/pediatric and adult sonography and image-guided procedures
• Comfortable floating to other units and participating in on-call rotations

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Canon i700 ultrasound systems
• Experience using Meditech EMR for documentation
• Familiarity with Fuji Synapse PACS and image archiving workflows
• Strong skills in abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic and vascular ultrasound protocols
• Competence in image-guided procedures (aspiration, biopsy, drainage, intraoperative)
• Ability to perform carotid duplex and segmental pressure studies
• Skill in neonatal head and congenital anomaly imaging
• Excellent patient communication, clinical judgment and teamwork abilities
