Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (night), rotating weekends; typical night block (example 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with call rotation approximately one 12-hour shift every 6 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered labor and delivery care for mothers and babies (couplet care)
- Manage intrapartum care including triage, labor support, monitoring, and safe transfer to OR/PACU when needed
- Care for neonates ≥32 weeks, including initial stabilization and neonatal resuscitation per NRP/STABLE protocols
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, pediatrics and surgical teams to ensure seamless transitions of care
- Document assessments, interventions and patient education accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in unit quality initiatives and evidence-based practice to improve outcomes for families
- Respond promptly to call assignments and staffing communications as part of the traveler team
- Support a positive team environment and help precept and orient other staff when requested
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license or compact privilege to practice in Colorado
- Active BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications
- Current NRP certification and STABLE training
- Proof of flu vaccine or agreement to obtain proof by 10/31/25
- Prior labor & delivery experience including couplet care and postpartum nursing
- Operating Room (OR) and PACU experience desirable for transfers and perioperative support
- Travel nurse experience preferred and ability to meet traveler responsiveness expectations (No RTO preferred)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to respond quickly for interviews and start logistics
Education
- Active RN licensure (ADN, ASN, or BSN as required for RN practice). BSN preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of labor and delivery management and fetal monitoring
- Neonatal assessment and resuscitation skills (NRP/STABLE)
- Couplet care principles — supporting mother and baby together
- Experience with OR and PACU processes for obstetric patients
- Ability to provide evidence-based nursing care and contribute to quality improvement
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and emergency response skills
- Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education
