Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered overnight nursing care to residents at Windward Gardens
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to facility policy
• Document care clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity
• Collaborate proactively with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes
• Respond quickly and calmly to urgent situations and assist with transfer-of-care needs

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered LPN or RN license (appropriate for role) — valid in Maine or otherwise acceptable per facility
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Prior clinical experience in long-term care, med-surg, or related settings is preferred
• Ability to work overnight shifts and support the team during critical evening hours
• Available for the full 14-week assignment (Dec 24, 2025 – Mar 28, 2026)

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and observation skills
• Medication administration and careful documentation
• Effective verbal and written communication with residents, families, and staff
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork during busy overnight shifts
