Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Monitor patient status, document findings accurately, and escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Support residents with ADLs and maintain a safe, comfortable environment
• Perform accurate charting and handoffs to day-shift staff to promote seamless care

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid for practice in Maine
• Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or able to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and managing patient needs during the night
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care or med-surg environments is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; high school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Knowledge of wound care, IV basics (if applicable to facility scope), and infection control
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced overnight setting
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
