Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and develop individualized plans of care
• Perform and assist with endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube, bronchoscopy, esophageal stent placement, and pain procedures
• Provide moderate sedation and closely monitor patients’ responses during procedures
• Manage perioperative admissions and discharges with clear, compassionate patient education
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to maintain continuity of care
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure core measure compliance and excellent outcomes
• Support a healthy workplace by managing conflict professionally and contributing positively to team dynamics

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
• Proven experience in endoscopy with proficiency in colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube, bronchoscopy, esophageal stent, and pain procedures
• Competent in delivering moderate sedation safely
• Experience with EPIC charting and perioperative admissions/discharges
• Comfortable floating between facilities and participating in on-call rotations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
