Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming) with empathy and dignity
• Monitor and report resident status changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to reduce fall risk
• Document care activities accurately and timely in the resident record
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• Ability to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) reliably
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing environments
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
• Basic vital sign monitoring and observation skills
• Familiarity with documentation and charting procedures
• Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Compassionate resident-centered approach and good communication skills
