Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled direct patient care as an LPN in a rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with care planning and support patients working toward rehabilitation goals
- Perform wound care, basic assessments, and routine clinical procedures with attention to safety
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Support a positive, healing environment by communicating clearly and professionally
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland or eligible for state licensure
- Current basic life support (BLS) certification
- Clinical experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred
- Comfortable with medication administration, IV/PO routines, and basic wound care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to work rotating schedule with every-other-weekend coverage
Education
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of clinical nursing fundamentals and rehabilitation nursing practices
- Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
- Ability to perform patient assessments and recognize changes in condition
- Familiarity with infection control standards and safe patient handling
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
