Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to residents and patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Assess patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for care plans
• Educate patients and families on care needs, medications, and follow-up
• Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect the unit

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) in Maryland or ability to obtain one quickly
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort with medication administration, wound care, and basic assessments
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Previous long-term care, rehab, or acute care experience preferred but willing to consider motivated clinicians
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Associate degree, diploma, or equivalent clinical training for practical nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic charting and basic computer skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
