Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER environment
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritization to ensure patients receive timely treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions according to protocol
• Document patient care and chart accurately in Meditech 6.0 to maintain clear continuity
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Respond decisively to codes and urgent situations, applying critical thinking under pressure
• Accept and manage assigned 24-hour call shifts professionally and reliably

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact RN licensure as applicable)
• Minimum emergency nursing experience — travel ER experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and taking 24-hour call shifts as needed
• Familiarity with Meditech 6.0 preferred
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently on nights

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency assessment and triage skills
• Acute care interventions and medication administration
• Proficiency or willingness to learn Meditech 6.0 charting
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making
• IV starts, wound care, and basic procedural assistance
• Effective teamwork, clear communication, and patient-centered bedside manner
• Ability to manage call responsibilities and transitions of care
