Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess functional abilities and occupational needs of patients to create meaningful goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life
• Implement evidence-based interventions and adaptive strategies in daily therapy
• Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes with the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment
• Participate in clinical skill development and pursue a specialty area of interest

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist within the state of Nebraska (active license required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
• Comfortable working as a travel/contract clinician and adapting to new clinical environments
• Desire to improve clinical skills and develop clinical expertise in at least one practice area
• Ability to meet performance expectations; quick start availability is preferred (Start Date: 2026-01-05)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong occupational therapy clinical skills and patient-focused assessments
• Experience with treatment planning, ADL/IADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Effective documentation and progress reporting
• Collaborative communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Clinical reasoning and ability to prioritize patient safety and outcomes
• Willingness to learn and develop specialty expertise
