Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess functional abilities and occupational needs of patients to create meaningful goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life
- Implement evidence-based interventions and adaptive strategies in daily therapy
- Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes with the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to ensure coordinated care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies
- Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment
- Participate in clinical skill development and pursue a specialty area of interest
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist within the state of Nebraska (active license required)
- BLS (American Heart Association) for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
- Comfortable working as a travel/contract clinician and adapting to new clinical environments
- Desire to improve clinical skills and develop clinical expertise in at least one practice area
- Ability to meet performance expectations; quick start availability is preferred (Start Date: 2026-01-05)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong occupational therapy clinical skills and patient-focused assessments
- Experience with treatment planning, ADL/IADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Effective documentation and progress reporting
- Collaborative communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Clinical reasoning and ability to prioritize patient safety and outcomes
- Willingness to learn and develop specialty expertise
