Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Weekday-based rotating day shifts with occasional weekends and on-call/holiday rotation: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5 x 8.5-hour shifts); 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts); 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM (3 x 12-hour shifts). Schedules may vary to meet department needs and include occasional weekend coverage.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures and advanced imaging techniques to produce diagnostic-quality images for physician interpretation
- Prepare patients for exams, provide clear instructions, and ease anxiety through compassionate care
- Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to protect patients, staff, and equipment
- Select and operate MRI systems, coils, and physiologic gating devices to meet protocol requirements
- Position and immobilize patients safely and comfortably to best demonstrate the anatomy of interest
- Perform venipuncture, establish and maintain IV access, and prepare/administer contrast media when required
- Evaluate image quality, manipulate and reconstruct digital data, and ensure proper identification before archiving to PACS/RIS
- Assist physicians with interventional MRI procedures and participate in departmental projects and committees
- Initiate basic life support when necessary and provide practical instruction and mentorship to students and partners
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT Radiography registration required
- ARRT MRI registration required
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required
- Experience working as an MRI Technologist (as stated in job requirements)
- Comfortable working flexible schedules including alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
- Strong patient communication skills and a commitment to safety and aseptic technique
Education
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in MRI operation and image acquisition
- Skilled with PACS and Radiology Information Systems
- Venipuncture and contrast media preparation/administration
- Patient positioning and immobilization best practices
- Image evaluation and digital reconstruction techniques
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and universal precautions
- Ability to assist with interventional procedures and use physiologic gating
