Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret, measure and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift with accuracy and confidence
• Provide high-quality nursing care for adult to geriatric telemetry/cardiac patients
• Continuously monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Document patient care thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, patient-focused care
• Follow unit and facility policies, including attendance and request-off procedures
• Maintain professional conduct, reliability, and strong communication with patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current New York RN license (temporary Health Care Service Agency registration/certificate required for agency submissions)
• Minimum 3 years of recent telemetry/cardiac nursing experience (required)
• EPIC experience is required — please note on submission
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) current certifications required
• Comfortable and competent interpreting cardiac rhythms as part of standard practice
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass the facility 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Completion of required onboarding training (Welle verbal de-escalation bundle or CPI) as of 1/1/2024

Education

• Active RN licensure required (NY)
• Nursing education (ADN or BSN) or equivalent clinical preparation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Proficiency using EPIC for documentation and charting
• Experience on Cardiac/Telemetry and Med-Tele units
• Skilled in adult-geriatric patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Familiarity with remote tele unit workflows and communication
• Ability to follow department expectations and protocols precisely
