Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care across the lifespan — pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize care for patients in a Level III trauma environment
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Cerner EMR to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Manage a typical patient assignment of approximately 1:6, delivering focused, compassionate care
• Participate in unit processes including non-billable orientation and periodic operational needs such as call/holiday coverage

Qualifications

• Active RN license — New Hampshire (Compact allowed)
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience (required)
• BLS (AHA) — current (required)
• ACLS (AHA) — current (required)
• PALS (AHA) — current (required)
• BSN highly preferred
• Cerner EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Submission-ready profile: work history, ER skills checklist, license verification and 1 supervisory signed reference from the past year
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility (NO LOCALS)

Education

• BSN highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment for all age groups
• Trauma care in a Level III setting
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record
• Strong critical thinking, rapid decision-making and delegation skills
• Medication administration, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric life support
• Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and maintain situational awareness during busy night shifts
