Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Document care and interventions clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
• Respond to emergencies and assist with procedures as needed
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working overnight hours with strong clinical judgment and independence
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to comply with facility onboarding and credentialing requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing or registered nursing program (LPN diploma, ADN, or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during the overnight period
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Strong prioritization and time-management skills for busy night shifts
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the clinical team
• Basic wound care, IV basics, and vital sign interpretation
