Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for rehab patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Assess and monitor patient status, documenting changes in condition
• Collaborate with therapists and the interdisciplinary team to support recovery goals
• Assist with care planning and discharge preparation to promote successful transitions
• Educate patients and families on care plans, mobility, and safety techniques

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Current immunizations and TB test per facility policy
• Comfortable working in a rehab setting; previous rehab experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for RN)
• For LPN roles: vocational nursing diploma or certificate (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and patient assessment
• Experience with rehab nursing practices and mobility assistance
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong teamwork and effective communication with patients, families, and staff
