Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care as an LPN or RN in an acute/rehab setting
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document accurately to ensure safe care
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create and follow individualized care plans
- Perform assessments and report changes in patient condition promptly to the team
- Support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals while promoting dignity and independence
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license valid in New Mexico
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification; advanced certifications welcomed
- Clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or related settings preferred
- Ability to work a long day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) reliably and independently
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Proof of vaccination and health screening per facility requirements
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Familiarity with wound care, IV therapy basics, and rehabilitation nursing concepts
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and triage in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records and standard nursing workflows
- Cultural sensitivity and patient education skills
