Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality bedside nursing care to patients during overnight hours
• Perform timely assessments and document patient status accurately in the chart
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to provider orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and plan transitions
• Monitor patients for changes, escalate concerns promptly, and support emergency responses
• Provide patient and family education with clarity and empathy to support recovery

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (must be valid in New Mexico or you must be eligible for state licensure)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Previous clinical experience in a nursing role preferred; travel/contract experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently overnight and communicate effectively with team members
• Proof of immunizations and required health screenings per facility policy

Education

• LPN: Completed LPN diploma or certificate program
• RN: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and clinical judgment for inpatient care
• Medication administration and accurate documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
• Strong communication and patient education abilities
• Time management and ability to prioritize during busy night shifts
