Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during overnight shifts
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and handoffs
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep patient flow smooth
• Educate patients and families on care plans and promote recovery and wellbeing
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and follow facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in New Mexico (or compact privileges where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required by facility
• Comfortable working overnight and managing patient care autonomously during the shift
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional
• Previous acute care or rehab experience is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program; additional RN training not required for LPN role

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Wound care and basic procedures commonly performed on the unit
• Proficient with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Patient- and family-centered approach to care
