Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients across the unit
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition promptly and appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (RN) for the state of New Mexico; LPN candidates may be considered depending on the role
• Minimum clinical experience in acute care or rehabilitation preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus depending on assignment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work a 12+ hour day shift and manage a full patient assignment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and patient safety
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) charting and documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care, and basic rehab nursing interventions
• Team player who communicates clearly with patients, families, and staff
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
