Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care consistent with facility standards
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico licensure preferred or compact RN eligible
• For candidates who hold LPN licensure, equivalent consideration may be given where applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Current, up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort working 12+ hour day shifts and adapting to a fast-paced rehabilitation/acute setting
• Professional, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills

Education

• Registered Nurse: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (if applicable): Diploma or certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Infection control, wound care basics, and mobility-support techniques
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage time, delegate appropriately, and handle unit flow
