Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate overnight nursing care to patients in a rehab/acute setting
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and safe transitions
- Maintain safety, infection control and regulatory compliance during your shift
- Support admissions, discharges and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license (RN) for New Mexico or compact RN license if applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Comfort and competence working overnight shifts and managing acuity during night hours
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- For LPN-level coverage, completion of an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment for med administration and monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks during overnight coverage
- Experience with rehab and post-acute nursing preferred
- Respectful, compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with families and staff
