Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a rehab/medical setting
• Perform accurate assessments and document patient status and progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge plans
• Prioritize patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Mexico licensure or eligibility preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications a plus
• Previous experience in medical-surgical, rehab, or similar acute care settings preferred
• Demonstrated strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and manage a full patient assignment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RN role
• Vocational nursing diploma or certificate for LPN-level applicants (if applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing assessment and documentation practices
• Medication administration and IV/infusion familiarity
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and time management
• Comfortable with electronic medical record systems and charting
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
