Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Uptown Health/Rehab area
- Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans with clinical confidence
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and support staff to promote optimal recovery
- Educate patients and families on care, discharge planning, and self-management
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN or RN license (licensed to practice in New Mexico or able to obtain state licensure)
- Clinical experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar settings is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-player attitude
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ASN, or BSN as applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
- Basic wound care and mobility assistance experience
- Good infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient- and family-centered care
