Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer safe, compassionate patient care within scope of practice as an LPN or RN
• Perform assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes to the care team
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and follow patient care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the facility’s systems
• Support a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and participating in unit initiatives

Qualifications

• Required: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Clinical experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar settings preferred
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Clear background checks and immunizations per facility policy

Education

• LPN: Vocational/Practical Nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Excellent communication, patient education, and bedside manner
