Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality direct patient care with compassion and clinical skill
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Act promptly in urgent situations and escalate concerns to providers as needed
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license (or LPN license where applicable) in the state of practice
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort working a long day shift (start 6:00 AM, end 6:30 PM) in an acute care setting
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience in medical-surgical or rehab settings is a plus

Education

• Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or BSN (as applicable)
• Completion of state-required nursing education and licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Familiarity with electronic health records and nursing documentation
• Wound care, vital signs monitoring, and basic procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively
