Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to post-acute/rehab patients during overnight shifts
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document patient care activities clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals, promoting independence and safety
• Participate in handoffs and shift reports to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current and active RN license eligible for practice in New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
• Previous experience in post-acute, rehab, or similar nursing setting preferred but open to motivated clinicians
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications a plus
• Ability to work overnight shifts and handle the physical demands of the role
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for RN)
• Completion of state-required continuing education and certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Comfortable with medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with rehab/post-acute nursing workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization under busy conditions
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-focused care approach
