Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to post-acute/rehab patients during overnight shifts
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient-centered care plans
- Document patient care activities clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals, promoting independence and safety
- Participate in handoffs and shift reports to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license eligible for practice in New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
- Previous experience in post-acute, rehab, or similar nursing setting preferred but open to motivated clinicians
- Current BLS certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications a plus
- Ability to work overnight shifts and handle the physical demands of the role
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for RN)
- Completion of state-required continuing education and certifications
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
- Comfortable with medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with rehab/post-acute nursing workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Good clinical judgment, time management, and prioritization under busy conditions
- Compassionate bedside manner and patient-focused care approach
