Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients within your LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the care team to keep patients safe
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Perform and document timely assessments, vital signs, and care interventions
• Support patient and family education to promote recovery and safe transitions
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant patient environment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico (or compact/reciprocal licensure where applicable)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license acceptable where the facility requests RN coverage (per order class)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen per facility requirements
• Comfort working as a travel/contract clinician and adapting to new settings quickly

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN) or equivalent nursing education
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) for RN candidates where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and accurate clinical documentation
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and care charting
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Basic wound care, IV observation (per scope), and vital sign monitoring
