Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered bedside care for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform timely assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and self-care
• Support safe patient transfers, wound care and basic procedures as required
• Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations and escalate when needed

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN or RN license appropriate for practice in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable providing direct patient care in an acute or rehab setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Professional, dependable and patient-focused attitude

Education

• LPN: Vocational nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and bedside nursing skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to prioritize, manage time and handle a varied patient load
• Patient/family education and clear interpersonal communication
• Teamwork, adaptability and willingness to learn facility-specific protocols
