Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift for assigned caseloads
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the electronic medical record
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement effective care plans
• Support patient and family education, ensuring clear understanding of care instructions
• Respond to emergencies and participate in safe patient handling and transfer procedures

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in New Mexico)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Current clinical experience in a relevant care setting; ability to work 12-hour night shifts
• Valid immunizations and background check clearance as required by facility
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently at night

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (for LPN) or associate/BSN program (for RN) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Care assessment and documentation in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Medication administration and IV/patient monitoring fundamentals
• Ability to prioritize care and manage multiple patients during overnight hours
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic wound care, vital signs monitoring, and comfort measures
