Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to rehabilitation and acute patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs regularly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in a timely manner
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, safety and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate when necessary
• Support mobility and rehabilitation goals with safe, evidence-based nursing interventions

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license valid in New Mexico (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — current or obtainable upon hire
• Rehabilitation or acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude
• Current immunizations and background checks as required by facility

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited LPN program (diploma/certificate)
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and basic IV/line familiarity (as applicable)
• Experience with documentation in electronic health records
• Knowledge of rehab nursing principles and mobility/safety techniques
• Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
• Good time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills
