Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately with attention to detail
• Assess and monitor patient condition, intervening promptly for changes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly in the chart
• Support rehabilitation goals by assisting with mobility, ADLs, and therapeutic activities
• Provide compassionate patient and family education to promote recovery and independence
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe care environment at all times

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (RN preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred
• Previous experience in rehab, long term care, or acute nursing preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and support a collaborative care environment

Education

• LPN: Nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and safe medication administration
• Rehab nursing principles and mobility support
• Accurate electronic medical record charting and documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Infection prevention and patient safety best practices
• Time management, prioritization, and critical thinking under pressure
