Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and/or seniors in the assigned unit
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status, changes, and interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation
• Respond to acute changes and assist in emergency interventions as needed
• Promote infection control practices and maintain a safe, respectful environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure (RN preferred); must be valid for New Mexico or eligible for state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in acute care, rehab, or similar settings preferred
• Ability to work 12+ hour day shifts and adapt to travel assignment rhythms
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a team-first attitude
• Up-to-date immunizations and required health screenings as per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN diploma or ADN/BSN for RNs as appropriate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and care planning with clinical judgment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Basic wound care, mobility assistance, and ADL support
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work in fast-paced settings
