Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care during the night shift, monitoring and responding to patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in patient records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care
• Assess patient conditions, report changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care with compassion and clarity
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) — New Mexico licensure preferred or compact RN where applicable
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; advanced certifications a plus
• Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred; travelers welcome
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts while collaborating with the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• High school diploma or GED required as a baseline

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing fundamentals and inpatient clinical practices
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy basics, and patient assessments
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting accurately
• Excellent communication skills for handoffs and family education
• Calm under pressure with strong prioritization and time management
